I'm a life-long Minnesotan. I don't have a cabin. If you're from around here, you know that those two sentences don't often appear side by side. In lieu of owning the real thing, I happily settle for dreaming of my someday cabin. In my someday cabin, the kitchen looks just like this one, designed by Minnesota's nationally known and highly sought-after Bria Hammel Interiors for a stunning Wisconsin cottage. (They're called "cottages" in Badger Country.) I love Hammel's brilliant decision to juxtapose crisp white cabinetry against the cottage's knotty-and-natural interior surfaces. The effect is unexpected, fresh and swoon-worthy.
You'll get to see this entire cottage when it's on full display in a story I'm excited to be writing for the fall issue of Cottage Style. Until that issue hits, feast your eyes on this beautiful kitchen — and conjure up some cabin/cottage dreams of your own.
